Scoring is done manually. Subscale scores are calculated by summing item scores and then dividing the total by the number of items in the subscale (i.e., calculate the average for that subscale). Scoring and interpretation is completed by a healthcare provider.

 

Sample norms, reliability, and validity

Sample for development of norms:

Dherandra et al. (2012) standardized the measure on a sample of 913 parent reports and 936 teacher reports of children from three English medium schools in Delhi & NCR Region (one each from  Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon)..

Reliability:

Studies have reported internal consistency reliabilities (alphas) of 0.75-0.94, test-retest reliabilities of 0.60-0.71, and parent-teacher agreement coefficients of 0.45-0.51 (significant at 0.001 levels).

Validity:

Strong face validity, factorial validity, good sensitivity and specificity
